SECTION 42-16.1-14

   § 42-16.1-14  Disclosure of information tothe fraud prevention unit. – Any insurer, or agent authorized by the insurer, to act on its behalf, or thirdparty administrator or any self-insurer, having reason to believe that aninsurance transaction may be fraudulent, shall send to the fraud preventionunit a report of the transaction and any additional information requested bythe unit, and shall respond to requests from the fraud prevention unit forinformation with respect to employers and employees who are being investigatedfor workers' compensation fraud and abuse pursuant to § 42-16.1-13. Theunit reviews the reports submitted and undertakes further investigation inappropriate cases, as determined by the unit.
