SECTION 42-21-3

   § 42-21-3  Construction of laws andrecords. – Whenever in any other general law, public law, or resolution of the generalassembly, or in any document, record, or proceeding authorized by the generalassembly, any word or phrase is used in reference to or descriptive of anydepartment, agency, or officer, or employee thereof, or to its or theirrespective activities, whose powers, duties, or activities were assigned ortransferred by chapter 660 of the Public Laws of 1939, the word, phrase, orreference shall hereafter, unless the context or provisions of this titleotherwise require, be deemed to refer to, include and describe such department,agency, officer, or employee as by chapter 660 was charged with carrying outpowers, duties, and activities, as the context and provisions of chapter 660may require.
