SECTION 42-28-11

   § 42-28-11  Powers of superintendent –Rules and regulations. – The superintendent shall be the executive and administrative head of the statepolice, and he or she is hereby authorized, subject to the approval of thegovernor, to make rules and regulations not inconsistent with law for theexamination and qualifications of applicants for appointment to the statepolice, for the discipline, control, and removal of the other members andrelating to reimbursement for expenses properly incurred in the performance oftheir official duties, including an allowance for subsistence in an amount notless than six hundred dollars ($600) per annum for members of the state policebelow the rank of lieutenant and in an amount not less than nine hundreddollars ($900) per annum for members of the state police with the rank oflieutenant or higher than the rank of lieutenant.
