SECTION 42-29-3

   § 42-29-3  Bond. – Every person appointed sheriff shall, previous to entering on the duties of hisor her office, give bond to the general treasurer in the sum of twenty-fivethousand dollars ($25,000), in form approved by the attorney general, with somesurety company authorized to do business in this state as surety, or with two(2) other sufficient sureties.
