SECTION 42-29-31

   § 42-29-31  Credit for service of legalprocess. – The sheriffs of the five (5) counties shall extend to each Rhode Islandattorney who is a member in good standing of the Rhode Island Bar Association,credit up to the sum of three hundred dollars ($300) for the service of legalprocess; provided, however, that no further credit need be extended to any saidattorney who fails to make payment within sixty (60) days of receipt of anybill for services rendered. The sheriffs of the five (5) counties shall acceptfunds from any attorney, who so desires, for the purpose of establishing anescrow account, which escrow funds shall be applied on account for futureservice of legal process.
