SECTION 42-31-2

   § 42-31-2  Oath of office. – Before any commissioner shall perform any duty of his or her office, he or sheshall take and subscribe an oath before some officer authorized to administeroaths in the state, country or territory, or District of Columbia, for whichthe commissioner is appointed, that he or she will faithfully discharge all theduties of his or her office; a certificate of which shall be filed in theoffice of the secretary of state of this state within six (6) months after thetaking of the oath.
