SECTION 42-7.2-9

   § 42-7.2-9  Appointment of employees.– The secretary, subject to the provisions of applicable state law, shall be theappointing authority for all employees of the executive office of health andhuman services. The secretary may assign this function to such subordinateofficers and employees of the executive office as may to him or her seemfeasible or desirable. The appointing authority of the secretary provided forherein shall not affect, interfere with, limit, or otherwise restrict theappointing authority vested in the directors for the employees of thedepartments under applicable general and public laws.
