SECTION 45-21-46

   § 45-21-46  Forfeiture for fraudulentclaims. – Every person who knowingly or willfully makes or presents or in any wayprocures the making or presentation of any false or fraudulent affidavit oraffirmation concerning any claim for retirement allowance or payment ofretirement allowance, shall, in every case, forfeit a sum not exceeding onethousand dollars ($1,000), to be sued and recovered by and in the name of theretirement board, and when recovered paid over to and become a part of thefunds of the retirement system.
