SECTION 45-34-2

   § 45-34-2  Power of municipality to enterinto agreements relative to disposal of wastes. – In addition to the powers previously granted by any general or public law, anymunicipality or group of two (2) or more municipalities may, individually orcollectively, pledge the credit of the municipality or groups of municipalitiesby written agreement with any person for the purpose of providing for themunicipality or municipalities real and personal property or other facilitiesfor use in disposal of liquid wastes and solid wastes, provided, that in thecase of solid wastes, the agreements must be approved by the solid wastemanagement corporation.
