SECTION 45-48-14

   § 45-48-14  Severability. – This chapter shall be construed in all respects to meet all constitutionalrequirements. In carrying out the purposes and provisions of this chapter, allsteps shall be taken which are necessary to meet constitutional or other legalrequirements whether or not these steps are expressly required by statute. If,after the application of the provisions of this section, any of the provisionsof this chapter, or its application to any circumstances, shall be heldunconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, that decision shallnot affect or impair the validity of the application of those provisions toother circumstances or the validity of any of the other provisions of thischapter.
