SECTION 45-57-13

   § 45-57-13  Severability. – This chapter shall be construed in all respects so as to meet allconstitutional requirements. In carrying out the purposes and provisions ofthis chapter, all steps shall be taken which are necessary to meetconstitutional or other legal requirements whether or not these steps areexpressly required by statute. If, after the application of the foregoingprovisions of this section, any of the provisions of this chapter, or itsapplication to any circumstances, shall be held unconstitutional by any courtof competent jurisdiction, that decision shall not affect or impair thevalidity of the application of those provisions to other circumstances of thevalidity of any other provisions of this chapter.
