§ 46-12.2-17 No additional consentrequired. – Except as provided in this section, bonds and local governmental obligationsmay be issued under this chapter without obtaining the consent of any executiveoffice, department, division, commission, board, bureau, or agency of the stateor any political subdivision thereof, and without any other proceedings or thehappening of any condition, or acts other than those proceedings, conditions,or acts which are specifically required therefor hereunder or under anyapplicable bond act, and the validity of and security for any bonds issued bythe agency pursuant to this chapter, and any local governmental obligationsissued in accordance herewith, shall not be affected by the existence ornonexistence of any consent or other proceedings, conditions, or acts. Nothingin this chapter shall exempt the agency from the provisions of chapter 10.1 oftitle 42 entitled "Public Finance Management Board," and the Narragansett Baywater quality management district commission shall not issue any bonds, notes,or other indebtedness without the approval of the division of public utilitiesas required by § 39-3-15.
