§ 46-12-29 Effective date of chapter.– This chapter shall take effect on September 15, 1983, except that prior to thatdate the director of the department of environmental management may conduct anyhearings necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter, and file with thesecretary of state any rules and regulations authorized by this chapter to takeeffect on or after that date.
