§ 46-19-7 Employment of consultingengineer. – The director of the department of environmental management may employ aconsulting engineer in any specific case in which the exigencies of the casemay require it. The compensation of the consulting engineer shall be allowed bythe director, and shall be paid upon the order of the state controller out ofany money in the treasury appropriated therefor.
