SECTION 5-20-12.1

   § 5-20-12.1  Issuance of contractor masterlicense. – (a) There is created a class of license which shall be known as a contractormaster plumber. This license does not, in and of itself, permit any holder of alicense to individually engage in installation, maintenance, or repair asdescribed in this chapter, but may instead only be used in conjunction with acontractor's license as described in § 5-20-12.

   (b) No application for a license of a contractor masterplumber shall be filed with the department of labor and training, nor shall anyapplicant be permitted to take the examination for a license, unless:

   (1) The applicant possesses the requisite skill, expertise,education, experience, training, and other qualities or qualifications to takean examination as the department of labor and training, by the promulgation ofregulations, may require.

   (2) The application is accompanied by a test fee, whichequals the fee for a master plumber as outlined in § 5-20-16.

   (3) Upon passage of the contractor master examination asprepared and administered by the department of labor and training uponrecommendation and advice of the board, payment of a license fee which equalsthe fee for a master plumber as outlined in § 5-20-23 shall be requiredand the contractor master license shall be issued as provided in § 5-20-21.

   (c) Applications must be filed with the department of laborand training at least fifteen (15) days prior to the examination date.
