SECTION 5-24-3

   § 5-24-3  Penalty for violations. –Every person in any city or town who opens or keeps open any tavern, victualinghouse, cookshop, oyster house, or oyster cellar, without possessing a licenseobtained from the city or town council, or in any place other than thatspecified in that license, shall be fined fifty dollars ($50.00) for eachoffense, one-half ( 1/2) of that amount to the use of the city or town in whichthe offense has been committed and one-half ( 1/2) to the use of the state.
