SECTION 5-37.2-8.1

§ 5-37.2-8.1 License required. – (a) Unless licensed as a doctor of acupuncture under this chapter, or exemptfrom licensure under the provisions of this chapter, no person shall practiceor hold himself or herself out as practicing, or engaging in the practice of,acupuncture, either for compensation or gratuitously.

(b) This chapter shall not be construed to make unlawful theactivities of persons involved in research performed under the auspices of afederal or state regulated research institution.
