SECTION 5-37-1.2

   § 5-37-1.2  Examining committees. –(a) The chairperson shall appoint two (2) physician members of the board whopossess the degree of doctor of medicine or osteopathic medicine and one publicmember of the board to serve as an examining committee for applicants applyingfor licensure as allopathic or osteopathic physicians. The examining committeefor allopathic or osteopathic physicians shall recommend to the full board, whoshall recommend to the director, applicants for licensure to practiceallopathic or osteopathic medicine who meet all requirements for licensurepursuant to this chapter and other applicable sections of the general laws ofthe state.

   (b) The members of the examining committee shall serve for aterm of one year and may be reappointed.
