SECTION 5-53.1-15

   § 5-53.1-15  Enforcement – Attorneygeneral. – (a) Any person who willfully and knowingly violates any provisions of thischapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be sentencedfor the first offense to pay a fine of not more than one thousand dollars($1,000) or undergo imprisonment for not more than one year, or both, and forthe second and any subsequent offense to pay a fine of not more than fivethousand dollars ($5,000) or to undergo imprisonment for not more than five (5)years, or both.

   (b) Whenever the attorney general has reason to believe orthe attorney general has been advised by the director (who shall have given duenotice and full hearing to the person) that the person is in violation of theprovisions of this chapter, in addition to all other actions authorized by law,the attorney general may bring an action in the name of the state against thatperson to enjoin the person from continuing the violation or doing any acts infurtherance of the violation and for any other relief that the court deemsappropriate. The court may make additional orders and/or judgments as may benecessary to restore to any person in interest any monies or property, real orpersonal, which may have been acquired by means of any practice found to be inviolation of this chapter.
