SECTION 5-65-18

   § 5-65-18  Mechanics' lien notice. –As applicable to and in accordance with § 5-65-1 et seq., all writtencontracts entered into between a contractor under this chapter and a propertyowner must contain a statement that the contractor, subcontractors, ormaterialpersons may file a lien in accordance with the Rhode Island MechanicsLien Act, chapter 28 of title 34. In the event that mechanics' liens are filedand there is no serious dispute, but merely a failure to pay, then the boardmay impose a suspension of the registration until such time as the liens aresatisfied, either by payment, deposit of the funds in the registry of thecourt, or with the board.
