SECTION 8-2-27

   § 8-2-27  Venue – Consolidation ofactions. – (a) Any civil cause or any question of law or fact therein may, by consent ofthe parties and with approval of the court, be tried and determined in anycounty. When civil actions involving a common question of law or fact arepending in different counties, the court may in the interest of convenienceorder any such action transferred to another county for the purpose ofconsolidating the actions for trial.

   (b) Any civil cause may be referred from one county toanother by the presiding justice of the court in the interest of obtaining amore speedy trial.
