SECTION 8-8-8

   § 8-8-8  Engagement and acceptance ofappointment. – Every judge accepting the office shall, within thirty (30) days afterappointment, take the engagement provided in § 8-3-1 and shall file awritten notice of his or her acceptance, together with proof of his engagementupon his or her commission, with the secretary of state.
