   § 9-1-7  Prosecution and defense of actionsby executor or administrator. – All the causes of action and actions as provided in § 9-1-6 may beoriginally brought and prosecuted by and against executors and administrators;and if brought or prosecuted by or against any person in his or her lifetime,the action may be prosecuted or defended by his or her executor oradministrator.
