SECTION 9-10-2

   § 9-10-2  Service of notice on jurors.– The city or town sergeant or constable, upon receipt of the notification asprovided in § 9-10-1, shall forthwith make service of the notificationupon the persons named therein as jurors by delivering to each of them, or byleaving at their last and usual place of abode, a notice substantially in thefollowing form:

   STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS

   Sc.

   TO                                    Greeting:

   You are hereby notified that you have been drawn as a jurorfor the superior or family court for the county (or counties)of                  and you are required to attend the said court beholdenat                  onthe                     dayof                     ,at               o'clock in the forenoon.

   Sergeant.

   Constable.

   For warning each person the town sergeant or constable shallbe paid fifty cents ($.50) out of the town treasury. The jury commissioner orhis or her agents, having retained the notifications in accordance with §9-10-1, shall forthwith serve the notifications in the same form as containedin this section by regular mail.
