SECTION 9-18-8

   § 9-18-8  Deposition as evidence – Useof certified copy. – The deposition of any person taken pursuant to this chapter may be used asevidence in the trial of any judicial proceeding in any court, or town council,or before commissioners, masters in chancery, referees, or auditors, in whichit shall have been taken to be used; and if the party who took the depositionshall neglect to produce or use it, the adverse party may use the original or acopy of the deposition, certified by the magistrate before whom it was taken.
