SECTION 9-19-26

   § 9-19-26  Testimony in divorce,separation, and annulment proceedings. – In all cases of divorce, separation, and annulment of marriage, the testimonyshall be given viva voce in open court; provided, however, that the familycourt may permit the taking of depositions in cases where the witnesses orparties are aged, infirm, or too ill to appear in court or for any otherspecial cause.
