SECTION 9-2-2

   § 9-2-2  Joinder of defendants in action oncontract or instrument. – When, in an action on any contract or specialty, including a bill of exchangeor a promissory note, the property of a surety, endorser, or drawer has beenattached, the property of the promissor, acceptor, or principal, properlybefore the court, if within its jurisdiction, if not attached at thecommencement of the action, may be attached on mesne process or execution, andshall in all cases be first applied in the satisfaction of any judgmentrecovered therein.
