SECTION 9-5-34

   § 9-5-34  Appointment of attorney byforeign corporations. – Every foreign corporation that manufactures products that are sold in the stateshall file in the office of the secretary of state a written power appointingsome competent person resident in this state as its attorney with authority toaccept service of process against the corporation in the state, containing anagreement on the part of the maker that the service of any lawful process inthis state on the attorney shall be of the same force and validity as serviceon the corporation; provided, however, that in case no written power appointingan attorney for service for the foreign corporation is filed, then thesecretary of state shall be the attorney for service for the foreigncorporation.
