26-19-9.7. Legal recognition of electronic claims records.
Pursuant to Title 46, Chapter 4, Uniform Electronic Transactions Act:
(1) a claim submitted to the department for payment may not be denied legal effect,enforceability, or admissibility as evidence in any court in any civil action because it is inelectronic form; and
(2) a third party shall accept an electronic record of payments by the department formedical services on behalf of a recipient as evidence in support of the department's claim.
