§61-2-21. Dueling without ensuing death; challenge; aiding, advising or promoting duel; penalty.
If any person fight a duel, though no death ensue, or send or deliver to another a challenge, or message intended to be a challenge, oral or written, to fight a duel, though no duel ensue, and if any person accept or knowingly carry or deliver any such challenge or message, or advise, encourage or promote such duel, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be confined in jail not more than one year and fined not exceeding one thousand dollars.
