§ 2581. Certain  corporate schools entitled to participate in funds of  board of education of city of New York.  The corporate schools  entitled  to participate in the funds of the board of education of the city of New  York are as follows:  The schools established and maintained by the Five  Points  House  of  Industry,  the  industrial  schools  established  and  maintained under the charge of the Children's Aid Society in the city of  New York, the schools of the American Female Guardian Society, the Roman  Catholic Orphan Asylum, the Brooklyn Home for Children, the Orphan  Home  and   the  Convent  of  Mercy,  and  the  Child  Care  Center  (formerly  Tuberculosis Preventorium for children).  The New York Institute for the  Blind shall receive a ratable proportion of the  fund  for  every  blind  pupil in such institution without regard to age.    Such  schools shall be subject to the general supervision of the board  of education of the city of New York, but shall be under  the  immediate  direction of their respective trustees, managers and directors.
