§  3456. Violations; penalties.  1. Any person who shall engage in the  business or practice of funeral directing, undertaking or  embalming  in  violation  of  any  provisions  of  this  article,  shall be liable to a  maximum civil penalty of one thousand dollars, suspension or  revocation  of  license,  or other disciplinary action, as specified by law for each  such violation and may also be found guilty of a misdemeanor.    2. Each day during which or any part  of  which  any  such  prohibited  business or practice is continued shall be deemed a separate violation.    3. One or more penalties for one or more violations by the same person  within  any period of time may be sued for and recovered by the attorney  general in the name of the people of the state.
