§  135.  Cooperation of public welfare officials.  1.  It shall be the  duty of every public welfare official to render assistance and cooperate  within  his  jurisdictional  powers  with  every  other  public  welfare  official  and  with the family court and all other governmental agencies  concerned  with  the  health  and  welfare  of   persons   under   their  jurisdiction.    2.    Every  public  welfare  official  shall  also cooperate whenever  possible with any private agency whose object is the relief and care  of  persons  in  need  or the improvement of social conditions in order that  there may be no duplication of relief and that the work of agencies both  public and private may be united in an effort to  relieve  distress  and  prevent dependency.
