* § 97-cccc. Erie canal museum fund. 1. There is hereby established in  the  joint  custody  of  the  state  comptroller and the commissioner of  taxation and finance a fund to be known as the Erie canal museum fund.    2. Such fund shall consist of all moneys collected pursuant to section  four hundred four-u of the vehicle and traffic law, and all other moneys  credited or transferred thereto from any other fund or  source  pursuant  to  law,  provided  that  section four hundred four-u of the vehicle and  traffic law shall control  the  method  of  payment  for  the  costs  of  producing  the  distinctive  license  plates authorized pursuant to such  section of law.    3. Moneys of the fund  shall  be  expended  for  the  benefit  of  the  programs  of the Erie Canal Museum, Inc. Moneys shall be paid out of the  fund on the audit and warrant  of  the  state  comptroller  on  vouchers  approved  by  the  chairman  of  the board of trustees of the Erie Canal  Museum, Inc. Any interest received  by  the  comptroller  on  moneys  on  deposit  in  the  Erie canal museum fund shall be retained in and become  part  of  such  fund.  No  money  from  such  fund  may  be   withdrawn,  transferred,  or  used  by  any  person  for  any  purpose other than as  permitted by this section.    * NB There are 4 § 97-cccc's
