* § 97-www. Quality child care and protection fund. 1. There is hereby  established  in  the  joint  custody  of  the  state comptroller and the  commissioner of taxation and finance a fund to be known as the  "quality  child care and protection fund".    2.  The quality child care and protection fund shall consist of moneys  received by the state pursuant to subdivision eleven  of  section  three  hundred  ninety  of  the  social  services  law  and  all  other  moneys  appropriated, credited or transferred thereto from  any  other  fund  or  source.    3.  Moneys  of  the  quality child care and protection fund, following  appropriation by the legislature and allocation by the director  of  the  budget,  shall  be  made  available to the commissioner of the office of  children and family  services  to  provide  grants  to  child  day  care  providers for health and safety purposes, for training of child day care  provider  staff and other activities to increase the availability and/or  quality of child care programs.    4. The commissioner of the office  of  children  and  family  services  shall submit a report to the governor, temporary president of the senate  and  the speaker of the assembly on an annual basis commencing on August  thirty-first, two thousand one concerning  the  implementation  of  this  section.  This  report  shall include information on the amount of funds  made available to the commissioner of the office of children and  family  services and the use of such funds.    * NB There are 6 § 97-www's
