§  20-2003  Discharge of firearms in the village of Green Island.  The  local legislative body of the village of Green Island in the  county  of  Albany  is  authorized  to prohibit by local law, rule or regulation the  discharge of firearms in areas in which such activity may  be  hazardous  to the general public or nearby residents, and providing for the posting  of  such  areas  with  signs  giving  notice  of such local law, rule or  regulation, which local laws, rules and regulations may be more, but not  less restrictive than any other provision of law. Thirty days  prior  to  the adoption of any such local law, rule or regulation, a notice must be  sent  to  the regional supervisor for fish and game of the environmental  conservation department notifying him of such intention.
