<br><br>16.130 Cooperation with other agencies, local officers -- Other states and federal <br>government. <br>(1) The commissioner shall cooperate and exchange information with any other <br>department or agency of this Commonwealth, or with other police forces, both <br>within and without this Commonwealth and with the federal government. The <br>commissioner may, when authorized by the Governor, negotiate with the <br>appropriate officials of other states in the preparation of interstate compacts for <br>police protection as authorized by the Federal Congress, and such compacts as <br>negotiated shall be submitted to the Governor and the General Assembly for <br>approval. <br>(2) All peace officers of the various political subdivisions of this Commonwealth shall <br>cooperate with the department and the commissioner, and all officers thereof in the <br>enforcement of the laws of this Commonwealth. <br>History: Amended 1974 Ky.
