<br><br>16.075 Automobile liability insurance for State Police. <br>(1) The Department of Kentucky State Police shall secure, or reimburse members of the <br>State Police who purchase a rider on their personal motor vehicle insurance policy <br>to secure, such automobile liability insurance and uninsured and underinsured <br>motorist coverage as will reasonably protect the interest of members of the State <br>Police when in the conduct of official business. <br>(2) Policies authorized by this section shall be purchased only in accordance with <br>regulations prescribed by the commissioner of insurance and the secretary of the <br>Finance and Administration Cabinet. <br>(3) The department shall determine the minimum coverage the member must purchase <br>to be eligible for reimbursement under subsection (1) of this section and the <br>maximum amount of reimbursement. The uninsured and underinsured motorist <br>coverage shall be no less than the policy's liability limits for bodily injury or death. <br>Effective: July 15, 2010 <br>History: Amended 2010 Ky.
