<br><br> <br>Page 1 of 1 <br>39A.110 Compensation for property taken for temporary use -- Notice to owner of <br>property where title taken. <br>If property is taken for temporary use, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, the <br>Governor shall, within thirty (30) days of the taking, fix the amount of compensation to <br>be paid for the property. If the property is returned to the owner in a damaged condition or <br>is not returned to the owner, the Governor shall, within thirty (30) days after the taking, <br>fix the amount of compensation to be paid for the damage or failure to return. When the <br>Governor deems it advisable for the state to take title to property taken under this section, <br>the owner shall be notified in writing by certified mail, return receipt requested, and a <br>copy of the notice shall be filed with the Secretary of State. <br>Effective: July 15, 1998 <br>History: Created 1998 Ky.
