<br><br>61.912 Power of arrest. <br>Any duly commissioned special law enforcement officer shall, while performing law <br>enforcement duties upon the public property he is hired to protect, be empowered to <br>arrest: <br>(1) Persons committing, in his presence and upon the public property he is hired to <br>protect, any misdemeanor, any traffic violation, or any other violation as defined by <br>KRS 500.080(17); <br>(2) Provided there exists probable cause to believe a felony has been committed upon <br>the premises he is hired to protect, any person whom the officer reasonably and <br>actually believes to have committed such felony upon the public property. <br>Effective: January 1, 1977 <br>History: Created 1976 Ky.
