<br><br> <br>Page 1 of 1 <br>65.7641 Illegal use of wireless emergency telephone service -- Penalties. <br>Wireless emergency telephone service shall not be used for personal use but shall be used <br>solely for the purpose of communications by the public in emergency situations. Any <br>person who knowingly uses or attempts to use wireless emergency telephone service for a <br>purpose other than obtaining public safety assistance or who knowingly uses or attempts <br>to use wireless emergency telephone service in an effort to avoid any CMRS charges shall <br>be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. If the value of the wireless emergency telephone <br>service obtained in a manner prohibited by this section or the value of the CMRS charges <br>exceeds one hundred dollars (&#36;100), the offense may be prosecuted as a Class D felony. <br>Effective: July 15, 1998 <br>History: Created 1998 Ky.
