<br><br> <br>Page 1 of 1 <br>66.131 Signature on behalf of issuer -- Use of interest coupons. <br>(1) Bonds shall be signed on behalf of the issuer as follows: <br>(a) In the case of a city, urban-county, consolidated local government, or charter <br>county, by the chief executive officer and attested by the clerk of the <br>governmental body, or by the other officers as are designated to sign by the <br>legislation authorizing the bonds; <br>(b) In the case of a county, by the judge/executive or other chief executive officer <br>and attested by the fiscal court clerk, or by the officers of the county as are <br>designated to sign by the legislation authorizing the bonds; or <br>(c) In the case of a taxing district, by the officer of the issuer designated by the <br>legislation authorizing the bonds. <br>(2) If an officer designated to sign bonds or interest coupons pursuant to subsection (1) <br>of this section is for any reason unable or unavailable to sign, another officer of the <br>issuer, designated by legislation passed by the issuer, may sign instead of that <br>officer. <br>(3) All signatures required by this section may be facsimile signatures. <br>(4) If an officer who has signed, manually or by facsimile signature, any bonds of an <br>issuer ceases to be the officer before the bonds so have been actually delivered, the <br>bonds may nevertheless be issued and delivered as though the person who has <br>signed the bonds had not ceased to be the officer. Any bonds may be signed as <br>provided in this section, on behalf of the issuer, by an officer who is the proper <br>officer of the issuer on the actual date of signing of the bonds, notwithstanding the <br>fact that at the date of the bonds or on the date of delivery of the bonds that person <br>was or is not the officer of the issuer. <br>(5) Bonds, other than fully registered bonds, may, in the discretion of the issuer, have <br>interest coupons attached or otherwise appertaining. The interest coupons shall be <br>signed on behalf of the issuer by the manual or facsimile signature of at least one (1) <br>of the officers described in subsection (1) of this section. <br>Effective: July 15, 2002 <br>History: Amended 2002 Ky.
