<br><br>67.170 Jailer to have custody of personal property belonging to jail and any other <br>county property for which he is superintendent. <br>The jailer of each county shall take charge of and carefully preserve all furniture, bedding <br>and similar property belonging to the jail and any other county property at the county seat <br>for which he may act as superintendent. The jailer shall be liable to the county upon his <br>official bond for the value of any such property lost or destroyed by reason of his <br>negligence or fault, and the county may enforce this liability by notice and motion in the <br>District Court. <br>History: Amended 1978 Ky.
