<br><br> <br>Page 1 of 1 <br>67.906 Unification review commission -- Membership -- Chairperson -- Filling <br>vacancies. <br>(1) The county judge/executive and the mayor of the participating city with the greatest <br>population shall jointly determine the size of the unification review commission <br>which shall be composed of not less than twenty (20) nor more than forty (40) <br>members. <br>(2) The membership of the unification review commission shall be divided equally <br>between the county and the participating cities. The mayor of each participating city <br>shall, with the approval of the city legislative body, make a number of appointments <br>based on the ratio that the percentage of the population residing in the mayor's city <br>bears to the population of all participating cities. Each participating city shall have a <br>minimum of one (1) representative on the unification review commission. The <br>county judge/executive shall, with the approval of the fiscal court, appoint a number <br>of members to the unification review commission equal to the number of city <br>members. <br>(3) The chairperson of the unification review commission shall be a citizen member <br>elected by a majority vote of the membership of the unification review commission <br>at its first meeting. <br>(4) Any vacancy on the commission shall be filled in the same manner as original <br>appointments are made. <br>Effective: July 12, 2006 <br>History: Created 2006 Ky.
