<br><br>67A.310 Prohibition of political activities. <br>(1) No person shall be appointed to any position because of political, partisan service <br>rendered by him or his family, or because of political sentiment or affiliation nor <br>shall any person be dismissed, suspended or reduced in grade or pay because of any <br>political opinion. <br>(2) The appointment and continuance of employment of all persons shall depend solely <br>upon their ability and willingness to perform their duties, and shall not be a reward <br>for political activity or contribution to campaign funds. <br>(3) No employee shall be forced to pay or collect any assessments made by political <br>organizations, contribute to political campaign funds, or be active in politics. <br>(4) No employee shall be active in politics or work for the election of candidates while <br>on duty. <br>Effective: July 13, 1984 <br>History: Amended 1984 Ky.
