<br><br>68.540 Approval by voters -- Levy. <br>(1) If a majority of those voting on the question of any public service program approve <br>such particular public service program, such particular public service program shall <br>be adopted. The county clerk shall cause the question to appear before the voters, <br>and the election results shall be canvassed and certified by the county board of <br>election commissioners. <br>(2) If any public service program is approved by the electorate as herein provided, the <br>specific tax so approved by the qualified voters in respect to such specific public <br>service program shall be levied by the fiscal court in the manner provided by law, <br>and such tax revenues shall be devoted solely to the public service program for <br>which such specific taxes are levied.
