<br><br>74.115 Extension of district into adjoining county. <br>(1) Upon written request of two (2) or more freeholders in a county or counties adjacent <br>to a county containing a water district, the board of commissioners of the district <br>may petition the county judge/executive of the adjoining county or counties for <br>addition of proposed territory. The procedure for such extension shall be the same <br>as prescribed in KRS 74.110 and the county judge/executive of the adjoining county <br>may make such order as is therein provided. <br>(2) Water districts may be established and extended regardless of whether the entire <br>territory of the district is continuous, provided that such territory lies in a county or <br>counties in which the district has been authorized to serve. <br>Effective: June 17, 1978 <br>History: Amended 1978 Ky.
