<br><br>77.060 General powers of district. <br>(1) The district shall have power to sue and be sued, contract and be contracted with, <br>make rules and regulations and do all other things necessary to carry out the <br>provisions of this chapter. <br>(2) The district shall have the power to take by grant, purchase, gift, devise, or lease, <br>hold, use, enjoy, and to lease or dispose of real or personal property of every kind <br>within or without the district necessary to the full exercise of its powers. It shall also <br>have the power to lease, sell or dispose of any property or any interest therein <br>whenever in the judgment of the air pollution control board such property, or any <br>interest therein, or part thereof, is no longer required for the purposes of the district, <br>or may be leased for any purpose without interfering with the use of the same for <br>the purposes of the district, and to pay any compensation received therefor into the <br>general fund of the district. <br>Effective: March 14, 1952 <br>History: Created 1952 Ky.
