<br><br>82.635 Lien for fines and other charges. <br>(1) The local government shall possess a lien on a motor vehicle impounded pursuant <br>to KRS 82.625 for all fines, penalties, and towing, handling and storage charges and <br>fees imposed thereon. Such lien shall be superior to and have priority over all other <br>liens thereon. <br>(2) Nothing in KRS 82.600 to 82.640 shall otherwise affect the rights or obligations <br>between the owner of the motor vehicle and those persons who claim a security <br>interest therein. <br>Effective: July 13, 1984 <br>History: Created 1984 Ky.
