<br><br>83A.030 Composition and size of city legislative bodies for mayor-council, <br>commission, and city manager plans. <br>(1) Each city organized and governed under the mayor-council plan shall have a mayor <br>and each shall have a legislative body composed of: <br>(a) Twelve (12) members in cities of the first class; <br>(b) Not less than six (6) nor more than twelve (12) members as prescribed by <br>ordinance in cities of the second, third and fourth classes; <br>(c) Six (6) members in cities of the fifth and sixth classes. <br>(2) Each city organized and governed under the commission plan or city manager plan <br>shall have a legislative body composed of a mayor and four (4) commissioners. <br>Effective: July 14, 1992 <br>History: Amended 1992 Ky.
